Where does paper-like handwriting come from? Display surface material The texture of the display surface may lead you to believe that it will feel like writing on paper. But when you look at the surface of the Kindle Scribe and Kindle Oasis with the naked eye, there's really no difference. They also don't feel any different under your fingers.
